VIDEO: JD Martinez Hits 3-Run Bomb as Andrew Benintendi and Sam Travis Go Back-to-Back in 3rd Inning

The Red Sox blew their game against Tampa Bay wide open thanks to three third inning home runs as they chased Jalen Beeks from his first start of the season.

J.D. Martinez started the barrage off with a three-run home run to start the onslaught against Beeks, who ultimately allowed seven runs in the third inning. Two batters later, Andrew Benintendi hit a solo shot to right-center field to increase the lead to 6-0.

After Benintendi's shot, Sam Travis lasered a ball to center field before the broadcast could even return from the replay of Benintendi's home run. Luckily for Beeks, the inning would end soon after that last home run was hit by the Sox.

With the Red Sox and Rays so tightly contested for both the AL East and the AL Wildcard, a blowout of this sort can't be great for Tampa Bay's confidence going forward.
