VIDEO: ESPN Fails to Mute Audio of Red Sox Fan Heckling Ball Girl After She Botches a Grounder
By Karl Rasmussen

Boston sports fans are among the rowdiest in the nation, and no one is exempt from their wrath. During the Red Sox's Sunday Night Baseball clash with the Dodgers, Sox fans began to heckle the ball girl after she botched a slow-rolling ground ball. ESPN wasn't quick enough on the trigger, and the audio was played for everyone watching at home to hear.

The broadcast failed to cover it up and you can hear the fan roasting the poor girl as she retrieves the ball she misplayed.
I'm not sure how the network didn't notice that, but they let it slide and everyone heard the ball girl get an earful from the stands.
“Haley! What the f—-“ just made its way through the ESPN sound catcher when the ball girl misplayed a ball. I’m dying.

We'll see if she manages to avoid another error as the game progresses in extra innings, and maybe next time ESPN will pick up on what's being said.
