VIDEO: Rays Dealing With Bizarre Power Outage Due to Storms Outside Tropicana Field
By Mark Powell

Wait, we thought domes were immune from the trials and tribulations of Mother Nature? Apparently not, as the Rays are getting an ironic taste of their own medicine on Saturday after jabbing the Yankees for a rain-out earlier this week. Dealing with borderline apocalyptic storms in Tampa Bay, the lights went out at Tropicana Field.

While the lights have come back on at this juncture, the scoreboard still isn't fully operational and it's unknown whether or not the players will be able to rely on it for the remainder of the game, at least.
No big deal, just an apocalyptic storm happening outside Tropicana Field. The sounds of thunder and lightning are hard-to-believe LOUD even inside the dome. Scoreboards are partially working. On a related note, #WhiteSox go 1-2-3 in the first.

Stay safe, Tampa Bay. Apparently a roof over your head isn't reliable shelter after all.
