Miami and Florida are reigniting their interstate rivalry this weekend as the college football season kicks off, and the Gators' defensive line isn't mincing words.

Junior defensive lineman Kyree Campbell let Miami know the Gators are coming after their redshirt freshman quarterback.

Campbell didn't threaten Jarren Williams, nor did he make grandiose claims about the outcome of the opener. Campbell simply ended his interview with, "He’s going against a team that brings a lot of pressure...so I hope he's ready -- that's all I'm going to say."

Williams won the job when he beat out one of last season's starters N'Kosi Perry and headline transfer Tate Martell. Williams, who sat out all of last season and thought of transferring from Miami, is set to face one of the stingier defenses in college football.

Florida is a blitz-happy team and anticipates throwing everything at Miami's redshirt freshman quarterback. There aren't many more intimidating first starts of a career than the No. 8 Florida Gators.

Embedded within Campbell's full interview comments are a respect for the quarterback. He knows the defense cannot take anyone lightly, and underestimating a quarterback because he has never started is the perfect storm for an upset.

Campbell's words are indicative of a humble cockiness that could represent the team's feelings towards the matchup. If that's the case, Miami might be in for a long day Saturday.
