VIDEO: Replay of Amari Cooper Running Perfect Route Completely Shames Dolphins' Xavien Howard
By Michael Luciano

Xavien Howard is the one long-term piece the Miami Dolphins have left on their roster, as star DB rode a career year into a contract that made him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. Well, all that money and talent was nullified by Amari Cooper during the Dallas Cowboys' beatdown of Miami last week, as Cooper sliced up Howard and the Miami secondary on what turned out to be an exceptional day at the office. Check out this one route in particular, in which a quick cut from Cooper left Howard in the dust.

Cooper caught six passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns, though he could have inflicted more damage had the Cowboys not taken their collective foot off the throttle when victory was assured.
Cooper is getting back to the Pro Bowl form he flashed during his days in Oakland, and he just showed up one of the league's most feared cornerbacks.
After leading the league with seven interceptions in 2018, Howard has yet to come away with a pick in 2019. Clearly, teams are still willing to throw at him, but he just hasn't been his dominant self.
That looked like a rookie getting beat in training camp, but it was actually a Pro Bowler.

Going back to his Alabama days, route-running was Cooper's calling card, and now he's riding that standout trait back to the pinnacle of his profession.
