VIDEO: Brett Gardner Tried and Failed to Convince CC Sabathia to Steal His Patented Dugout Tantrum
By Parker White

In the top of the third inning of Saturday's game against the LA Dodgers, New York Yankees starter CC Sabathia came to the plate and lined out to right field. Sabathia is a pretty solid hitter for a pitcher, even though he's been in the AL for the last decade. Yet that didn't keep Brett Gardner from giving him some advice on how to let off steam after not reaching base. You guessed it, Gardner tried to get CC to smash his bat to the roof of the dugout.
Brett: C'mon CC you know you want to.

All Sabathia could do is laugh at the suggestion, but you can bet he thought about it.

Considering how things have gone for Gardner recently, you hope the umpire didn't catch a glimpse of this collusion. I mean, they hated the Yankee outfielder doing it recently and they've tossed him for it. Why wouldn't they do the same for passing along the message to a teammate?
