The 2020 college football season is shaping up to feature a compelling Heisman race. Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas released its updated Heisman odds and, surprise, quarterbacks dominate the list of favorites.

Clemson's Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State's Justin Fields check in as the co-favorites to win the trophy in 2021, at 4/1 odds each.

The rankings are bound to invoke memories of last season's College Football Playoff semifinal, which saw Lawrence and Fields duel in one of the season's most dramatic contests. Lawrence outperformed Fields in his own building, and delivered the Tigers a trip to the National Championship Game, where they lost to the most recent Heisman winner.

Last season, Joe Burrow came out of nowhere to take the trophy with one of the greatest and most unexpected seasons by a college quarterback in recent memory. Between the two, Fields was the only finalist for last year's award. This year, however, Lawrence's chances will benefit from the inevitable NFL draft hype that will come with being the better pro prospect between the two.

Fields will benefit from the prestige that comes with standing out in the Big Ten, as well as being the sole finalist from last year's race. He was also the youngest finalist last year, finishing third behind Burrow and Jalen Hurts, both of whom have said farewell to college football, leaving Fields as the de-facto heir going off of last year's voting.

Just behind Lawrence and Fields is Oklahoma's Spencer Rattler at 12/1 odds. The only two running backs in this year's favorites are Clemson's Travis Etienne and Oklahoma State's Chuba Hubbard, who, like Lawrence and Fields, are tied at eighth with 20/1 odds.
