VIDEO: Tottenham's Eric Dier Runs Into Stands to Confront Fan Who Allegedly Directed Racist Remarks at Teammate
By Thomas Carannante

Wednesday's FA Cup matchup between Tottenham and Norwich City ended in dramatic fashion when the Canaries took down the Hotspur in penalty kicks, but that was hardly the biggest storyline to emerge from the evening. Hotspur player Eric Dier ran into the crowd to confront a Tottenham supporter who was allegedly spewing racist remarks at his teammate Gedson Fernandes, who missed a PK, which likely triggered the speculated unnecessary hate.

My goodness. And there's plenty more media to support it.

Racism in soccer across the globe has been an alarming issue and it's disheartening how often we hear about it. Players continue to take stronger and stronger stands against the senseless acts of hate to hopefully teach these soulless people a lesson, and Dier is just the latest footballer to try and get his point across.

Maybe fans will think twice about promoting such divisive language (assuming that's the case here) after seeing Dier's fiery reaction, because one day we might see such senseless acts result in violence and it's likely not going to be pretty for the person starting the feud.
