Terry Francona Admits He Was Concerned About Potential of Trevor Bauer Remaining With Team

There's no doubting that Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer is one of the most compelling players, let alone pitchers, in all of baseball. He leads the league in innings pitched and is willing to do virtually anything on the mound to give his club the best chance to win games.

However, the bugaboo concerning the former All-Star is his willingness, or lack thereof, to comply with a manager's orders paired with his petulant antics, more oft than not negatively impact the clubhouse.

Well, according to Cleveland's skipper Terry Francona, Bauer's latest meltdown --throwing a ball over the center field fence prior to being removed from his last start -- all but sealed his fate with The Tribe.

Wow.

When you consider the profane compilation of words that Francona uttered to his starter on Sunday prior to removing him from the game, it really isn't at all preposterous to surmise his potential role in Bauer's trade.

Bauer had a chance to accompany and genuinely conduct the Indians' push to get into the postseason. Now, thanks to his far-too prevalent shenanigans, he'll spend the rest of 2019 with the 50-56 Reds.

How does that old saying of karma go?
