Steve Kerr's Latest Comment on Kevin Durant's Injury Makes Warriors' Medical Staff Look Clueless

The more information that's revealed about the build-up to Kevin Durant's return from injury and subsequent ruptured Achilles, the less trustworthy the Warriors appear to be.

Head coach Steve Kerr's latest comments make it seem as though the team's medical staff had no idea what they were dealing with.

It's quite astounding, actually, that the medical staff could have been so blind to the possibility of Durant sustaining a worse injury than the one he was trying to rebound from, especially since a bum calf CERTAINLY puts strain on one's Achilles.

They sound completely clueless. It's absurd that a group of skilled medical professionals trained to deal with sports injuries couldn't have even considered the possibility of an Achilles injury.

Nobody is saying that they should have been able to predict the future, but at least acknowledging that this was a possibility should have come up at some point.

There's certainly a shady element to the fact that Durant was only cleared to play in a must-win game. But this is just an affront to the players. Not recognizing additional injury concerns, especially severe ones, poses a massive risk to the health of athletes.
