Redskins Make Trent Williams Holdout Official After Signing OT Option
By Parker White

On Friday night, the Washington Redskins announced the signing of offensive tackle Corey Robinson, as Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams' holdout remains firm.
Robinson could be a fixture on this Redskins offensive line this season, as the team officially announced the signing on Saturday and placed Williams on the Reserve/Did Not Report list.

Williams is holding out and not reporting to camp in an effort to garner a new contract that features more guaranteed money, as well as express frustration with Washington's medical staff on how they handled a small tumor on his scalp early this offseason.

The former first-round pick back in 2010 has vowed not to play the entire 2019 season for the Redskins, so I wouldn't expect him back on the field anytime soon, unless the team gives into his contractual demands.
Williams is one of the best left tackles in the sport, so his absence is a huge loss for a Redskins team that could end up going to rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. You want to protect your young quarterback as much as you can, and not having Williams anchoring the line could be felt immediately.
