With an offensive tackle out until further notice, the Washington Redskins had a spot to fill and it looks like they've found just what they were looking for.

While OT Trent Williams is in the middle of a holdout with the Redskins, the team decided to sign veteran tackle Corey Robinson to act as cover.

Along with Robinson, the team worked out three time Pro-Bowler Donald Penn, though they ended up going with the former Jaguar. Money was a potential issue with Penn who was likely seeking a sizable contract from Washington.

Robinson has started in nine games across four seasons with three different teams. Robinson was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft, playing 23 games across three seasons. Last season, he played one game with the Panthers and three with the Jaguars.

This contract comes in the middle of Williams' holdout and Geron Christian's continued rehab for a knee injury, leaving a severe lack of depth on the roster at the OT position with training camp underway.

The Redskins also signed Giants former left tackle Ereck Flowers as a free agent to compete at left guard, but has remained at his traditional position throughout summer workouts and training camp.
