It would appear that the Houston Astros have some company in the "totally lacking a moral compass" department as it pertains to the game of baseball.

On Monday, Tony Del Vecchio and John Lehmann, two former higher-ups in a youth baseball league in New Jersey, pleaded guilty to stealing funds from the organization. Part of their plea deal with Ocean County prosecutors requires that both of them receive no more than probation so long as they each pay $63,085 in restitution prior to their sentencing dates.

Del Vecchio held the position of president with the Holbrook Little League in Jackson, New Jersey, while Lehmann formerly served as a league treasurer.

The two men were originally arraigned back in December of 2017 after local authorities obtained an anonymous letter that thoroughly outlined the extent of their embezzlement efforts.

After a lengthy investigation, Ocean County prosecutors ultimately determined that the twosome accumulated a whopping $118,000 in league funds during a four-year span from 2014-2018.

We seriously don't have to delineate how tasteless and downright wrong these actions are, but it's important to note that these two men stand for the polar opposite of what little league baseball is all about.

They won't be stepping anywhere close to a diamond for quite some time.
