The LSU Tigers enter Saturday's SEC Championship Game with a perfect record of 12-0 thanks to one Joe Burrow.

The man who is becoming a legend in Baton Rouge has put up mind-blowing numbers in just 12 games. He has 4,366 passing yards, 44 touchdowns, a 78.3% completion percentage, and has only thrown six interceptions. That has him in the thick of the Heisman Trophy race, and potentially the favorite entering Saturday's game.

Burrow now has one more shot against Georgia to prove why he is indeed the best player in college football. While he is the frontrunner at this moment in time, all he needs to do against Georgia is stay at his current pace. Given his gaudy stats, Burrow putting up another 3-4 touchdown performance against a Georgia secondary which has struggled at times ought to be enough to cement his status as Heisman favorite.

Burrow has reached 300 passing yards in all but two games this season and has at least three touchdowns passes in 10 games. His completion percentage never dipped below 70% in a single game and that is against top SEC competition.

Even when Burrow did throw two interceptions against Ole Miss, he countered with five touchdowns and 489 passing yards in a blowout victory.

His passing stats only trail that of Washington State's Anthony Gordon, who has an unfair advantage in the Mike Leach offense, which employs a heavy pass-first style. Yet the quality of Burrow is much better than the quantity of Gordon's numbers.

Burrow's LSU Tigers can even lose on Saturday against Georgia and get into the College Football Playoff. Yet, a loss to UGA paired with a poor performance from Burrow could very well cost him the top personal accolade in college sports.
