Kentucky Lands Highest-Ranked Recruit in Program History in 5-Star DL Justin Rogers

Maybe the University of Kentucky isn't just a basketball school anymore.

The Kentucky Wildcats football program has signed five-star defensive lineman Justin Rogers, the highest-ranking recruit in program history. Yup, this is a MAJOR get for the program.

Rogers is ranked the No. 15 player overall for the 2020 class and the best prospect from Michigan. He selected Kentucky over a number of powerhouses, including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Texas and others.

The Wildcats have been so interested in Rogers, they sent a scholarship offer his way back when he was in the eighth grade.

Rogers was able to show his talents as both a defensive tackle and a right guard at Oak Park High School in Michigan.

Though the Wildcats finished 7-5 this season, their 10-3 mark in 2018 was their best since they last claimed sole possession of the SEC crown in 1950. Rogers will look to do all he can to get Kentucky to be a major player in the conference again.
