Surveillance video of the incident was released in November 2018. As Hunt told the Kansas City Star, "I just told [the Chiefs] what I knew at the time, and when the video came out, it was like me seeing it too for the first time, too. It was so long ago, so they felt like I lied."

Soon after the damming video was released, Hunt was cut by Kansas City. On February 11 however, news dropped that he would be signed by the Cleveland Browns, giving him a chance at a fresh start
The Hunt situation was not the last off-field saga the Chiefs have dealt with, as Tyreek Hill's ongoing child abuse investigation is currently barring the wide receiver from team activities.
Any time assult or abuse allegations have to be looked at, it is an unfortunate situation. Let's just hope for the best and that justice is ultimately served-- and that it's possible for a man to learn from his mistakes.
