Take a seat for a moment, Jordan Love, because Jalen Hurts now has the spotlight as the latest shocking pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. Many projected the Oklahoma quarterback to land with a team like the Indianapolis Colts or Pittsburgh Steelers, not the Philadelphia Eagles. This is an organization that just gave Carson Wentz a $128 million contract extension! No matter the circumstances, Hurts is just excited that he's finally made it to the NFL. Just look at his reaction to being drafted!

You can't help but feel happy for Hurts here.

This is a former 4-star recruit who lost the Alabama starting quarterback job at halftime of the 2018 CFP National Championship Game. He took a chance on himself after he transferring to Oklahoma to play under quarterback guru Lincoln Riley, thus raising his draft stock and earning a Day 2 selection.

You can understand where the Eagles front office was coming from when selecting Hurts. He will slot in as a backup, but can truly blossom into a starting signal caller. That's a plus for Philadelphia, considering Wentz has shown he's unable to stay on the field for a full season.

All we ask is for Eagles fans not to rain on Hurts' parade. This is the crowning moment of his life so far. If you have any discrepancies with the pick, direct them to general manager Howie Roseman.
