Eastern Kentucky WR Shot Outside Lexington Bar
Terrible news emerging on Monday, as Eastern Kentucky wide receiver Cameron Catron was shot and injured Sunday morning in an altercation outside a bar in Lexington.
It was reported that two individuals were arguing outside of the bar when one pulled a gun from his vehicle and shot it, hitting Catron.
The EKU receiver underwent his second surgery Monday to remove the bullet and repair any further damage.
Catron, a redshirt sophomore, played sparingly last season for Eastern Kentucky, appearing in only two games as a special teamer. He earned Honorable Mention All-State honors in high school his senior season as a defensive back.
It's unclear how severe the injuries are, but family and friends are praying for a speedy and full recovery.
