The Defenders will come into this game looking to bounce back after an embarrassing 39-9 loss to the Los Angeles Wildcats; the biggest loss by any team at this point in the season. It was the first win for the Wildcats and the first loss for the Defenders. Starting QB Cardale Jones threw four interceptions as the Defenders had an all-around brutal game.
Cardale Jones was 11-0 as a starter at Ohio State, and he was 2-0 as a starter in the XFL before yesterday.

The Tampa Bay Vipers are looking for answers but only find more questions. The biggest question mark is what to do with the QB slot. Vipers coach Marc Trestman led a dynamic offense for many years in the Canadian Football league, but has been shuffling between three quarterbacks in his first go around in the XFL.
Fans have clamored for more playing time for Quinton Flowers, but Flowers left the team for undisclosed reasons this week. He is still on the roster and it expected to return at some point.

They are expected to start Taylor Cornelius, who has completed 32 of 58 passes for 347 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Aaron Murray was the starting quarterback in the opening game of the season, but a foot injury has him sidelined.
