VIDEO: XFL's Tampa Bay Vipers Pay Tribute to Twitter Haters After Finally Scoring Offensive TD
By Jackson Thompson

The one thing that might end up setting the XFL apart is its transparent self-awareness. The Tampa Bay Vipers exhibited that self-deprecating sense of humor on Saturday, celebrating the franchise's first offensive touchdown with a video thanking Twitter haters for their motivation.

The Vipers had gone their first nine quarters of franchise history without scoring an offensive touchdown, but quarterback Quinton Flowers ended that drought on in the second quarter against the Houston Roughnecks with a seven-yard QB keeper into the end zone.

Their first two games of the season have been non-competitive blowouts, but their offensive breakthrough on Saturday might be enough to spark them to a franchise-first victory at home.
It's time. Get 'er done, Vipers. We're all counting on you.
