David Njoku is Unsure of His Future With the Browns So Long as Freddie Kitchens is Head Coach

Just when you think the Cleveland Browns couldn't possibly reek of more incompetence, a report emerges out of the blue that squashes that notion.

Though it's quite evident to most pundits and fans that Freddie Kitchens is in way over his head as an NFL head coach, it would appear that some of his players are prepared to jump ship if he's back in 2020.

In a recent interview, outcasted Browns tight end David Njoku was anything but transparent when asked to assess his future with the organization.

"That’s a good question," Njoku told cleveland.com when asked if he sees a role with the Browns if Kitchens retains his job. "I don’t want to answer that yet. I’m not sure, so no comment."

For those wondering, Njoku was shockingly tabbed a healthy scratch in each of Cleveland's last two games, and he will likely be sidelined again in Week 17.

The former first-round pick was placed on injured reserve back in Week 2 after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured wrist. He rehabbed his tail off to be able to be activated for the final stretch, but has not seen his number called since returning. He last featured in Week 14, where he played in 37% of the team's offensive snaps and caught one reception for four yards on three targets.

Kitchens clearly doesn't have Njoku in his plans, so there's a real chance that the tight end has played his last down as a member of the Browns.
