It's been a roller coaster season for the Cleveland Browns in 2019. Although the chances are slim, they still have a shot at obtaining a Wild Card spot in the playoffs if they win out and a few other things go in their favor.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, tight end David Njoku
has been activated off of injured reserve and is eligible to return to action Sunday against the Bengals, giving Cleveland's offense a differentiating wrinkle.

Njoku is expected to play on Sunday.

The third-year tight end will provide quarterback Baker Mayfield with another proven pass-catcher and an excellent red zone target. He hasn't played a full game since Week 1 of the regular season.

Many expected Njoku to have a breakout year before he injured his wrist in Week 2 of the NFL season.

While achieving a playoff berth seems unlikely, at least the Browns can begin to develop some chemistry on offense now that one of their key starters is back. This is still a very young Cleveland team, and thus they could use some additional practice.

Njoku's return won't fix all of the Browns' problems, but it provides them with a much needed boost late in the year.
