Dana White Says Conor McGregor Wants to Fight Jorge Masvidal for BMF Belt After Bout With Cowboy

There could be multiple implications for the future of the UFC in 2020 if Conor McGregor is able to pull out a victory this Saturday night in Las Vegas.

According to UFC President Dana White, McGregor wants a shot at the BMF belt.

That's right, Jorge Masvidal may get a chance to defend his title in 2020, and his next possible opponent could be McGregor! White and McGregor both echoed their desire for a huge bout between two of MMA's most quotable fighters. We all remember how successful and awesome the inaugural BMF fight was between Nate Diaz and Masvidal, but one with McGregor featured would blow the lid off the octagon.

Masvidal clearly has a mutual interest, and why wouldn't he? He has done nothing but rocket to fame after his knockout of Ben Askren, and a fight with Conor would be the perfect way to guarantee a massive payday at the end of his career.

All of this hinges on McGregor getting the job done at UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone. If "Cowboy" wins, however, the direction the UFC will take in 2020 will shift completely.
