Allen Hurns Expected to Return During Training Camp From Last Season's Gruesome Injury

It looks as if one Dallas Cowboys wide receiver is expected to make a recovery from what appeared to be a gruesome leg injury suffered in last year's playoffs. That sound you hear is all of the Metroplex collectively exhaling in relief.

Allen Hurns was roughed up during the Cowboys-Seahawks NFC Wild Card Playoff game in Dallas, and left the field writhing in pain following a hit in the leg, but today's good news means the Boys appear set in their receiving corps, as they have 2018 mid-season trade acquisition Amari Cooper returning, as well as tight end Jason Witten's unretirement and veteran free agent signee Randall Cobb replacing Cole Beasley in the slot.

However, it never hurts to have good depth at any position on an NFL roster, and having Hurns back will only give franchise signal-caller Dak Prescott another quality option to target on Sundays.

Last season, Hurns caught 20 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns. Assuming he comes back at or near 100%, the Cowboys offense can be that much more dangerous upon his return.
