Life has been good to Gus Malzahn and the Auburn Tigers of late, and things only got better on Tuesday morning.

A 5-star defensive tackle out of Eight Mile, Ala., Lee Hunter is one of the top players in the country for the 2021 class. Well, after much thought and several unofficial visits, the 6-5, 290-pounder has made the call: He's a Tiger.

Though Hunter won't be putting the pen to paper and sign his National Letter of Intent for more than a year, this is a massive recruiting victory for the Auburn coaching staff.

Hunter is ranked the No. 5 DT in the country for his class and the No. 37 player overall. Throughout his recruitment, he picked up offers from Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas and many others. In the end, though, the Tigers won him over.

As you can see, the Auburn head coach is pretty dang fired up over this latest victory on the recruiting trail. Paired with the heart-stopping win over Alabama in the Iron Bowl, it's been one heck of a week for this team. War Eagle indeed.
