In summation, Kay underwent surgery courtesy of Dr. Steven Zeitels of Massachusetts General Hospital, who has performed this microsurgery many times.
Kay had a nodule removed from his vocal cord, as he had unstable blood vessels due to overuse. Luckily, Kay will make a full recovery from the laser microsurgery and will return to the microphone after three to four weeks without speaking.
