The Yankees' "death star" lineup has arrived in Tampa, but it's not fully operational just yet.

Aaron Judge will participate in workouts with the rest of his teammates on Tuesday, but will not take batting practice, in accordance with early-spring shoulder maintenance.

Surely, Yankees Twitter will take this well.

At first blush, this feels like a redux of last year's injury-plagued disaster, but it's important to remember that no day on the baseball calendar is more meaningless than Day 1 of Spring Training. The worrisome flip side, of course, is that...if he really needs a maintenance day before camp has even started, what are things going to look like in a month?

Judge is also participating in all other drills on Tuesday, however, so fans will have plenty of opportunities to glimpse him in action alongside his teammates.

How long will this linger? Who knows. But the bottom line is the Yankees' full-unit debut at the dish will have to wait a little while longer to be unveiled.
