Warriors Officially List Kevin Durant as Questionable for Game 5

If you're a Golden State Warriors fan, this news has to be beyond encouraging.

Without Kevin Durant for the first four games of the 2019 NBA Finals, Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors have taken a 3-1 lead over Steph Curry and company, with Games 5 and -- if necessary -- 7 in Toronto. While Durant is far from a lock to play, he has officially been upgraded from out to questionable.

With a calf injury that's certainly more serious than we were led to believe initially, the Warriors have shown just how important Durant's size, length, and versatility are on both the offensive and defensive end. Jonas Jerebko and Alfonzo McKinnie aren't exactly getting it done.

Durant was apparently able to exit Scotiabank Arena under his own power and with no visible limp. Though walking and cutting explosively during a basketball game are two vastly different things, this is still a positive development.

Now that Durant has put to bed the notion that the Warriors are better without him and don't need him, it remains to be seen if his calf will allow him to face off against the Raptors.
