Hall-of-Fame pitcher and NESN color-commentator Dennis Eckersley has had a feud with Boston Red Sox starter David Price that's lasted two years.

This all dates back to 2017, when Eckersley said "yuck" on the Red Sox broadcast about the minor-league numbers of LHP Eduardo Rodriguez, which led to Price standing up for his teammate and getting on the former pitching legend.

It's taken several turns through the years, including this season when Price criticized Eck on his MLB Network documentary and stated that none of Eckersley's former teammates were interviewed, which was very much false.

One of Eckersley's former teammates, Hall of Famer Wade Boggs, talked about this squabble between the two and had some pretty harsh things to say about the Red Sox southpaw.

“Everybody in the game loves Eck. He was a great teammate,” Boggs said to Shaughnessy. “And David Price? Please. He should ask me what it used to be like to play in Boston. These guys today don’t hear any noise compared to the stuff that was aimed at us. I mean, seriously. 'Yuck?’ Give me a break.’’

I'm sure Eckersley rubbed some players the wrong way over his career, especially his opponents who weren't a fan of his celebrations, but most agree with Boggs when talking about Eckersley the person.

We can only hope that one day Price will end his fixation with Eckersley and move on.
