David Price Had No Idea What He Was Talking About When Criticizing Dennis Eckersley's Documentary

The 2019 season has brought up the ghosts of the Boston Red Sox's disappointing 2017 campaign in the worst possible way. The team is talented but still under-performing, and now the feud between David Price and Dennis Eckersley that was once thought to be dead is now alive and well.

Price, for his part, did his fair share of the work in stirring the pot with his comments criticizing the Hall of Famer's documentary. He boldly claimed that it didn't feature any of Eckersley's teammates, yet it features over 30 quotes from his former squad members, proving Price had no idea what he was talking about.

Adding to the absurdity around this is that Price actually claimed to have watched the documentary. It sure sounds like he didn't considering his main argument is fully incorrect.

In fact, there are more than 20 separate clips of six former teammates of heaping praise on Eckersley.

The whole debacle started again when Eckersley tried to deflect questions about his relationship with Price. That only served to motivate Price, who has taken the opportunity to make this a story again and run with it.

It's understandable that Price might still feel disrespected by Eckersley's lack of an official apology for the argument in 2017, but making outlandish claims about how his documentary featured him and him alone makes it look as though he has a vendetta.

The entire situation is totally unnecessary. The proverbial hatchet was buried and there was nothing left to be said. Now the two have to go back to dealing with the media on an otherwise personal matter.
