Contrary to popular belief, the New York Mets are still fighting for a spot in the playoffs this season.
Third baseman Todd Frazier is doing his part in keeping the team afloat, supplying some early offense with this two-run shot to left-center field in the first inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Frazier blasted his 19th home run of the year to contribute to what amounted to a five-run first inning by the Mets.
New York needs to win if they are going to make the playoffs, and there are few better teams to beat than the Diamondbacks. Arizona sits a half game up on the Mets in the Wild Card race as the season narrows down.
If the bats stay hot, the Mets can seriously contend coming down the stretch.
