VIDEO: Russian Broadcast Cracks up at Ridiculous Elijah Moore Penalty and Ole Miss Egg Bowl Failure
By Michael Luciano

Well, that's certainly one way to become bowl eligible. Garrett Shrader and Mississippi State escaped their annual Egg Bowl rivalry against Ole Miss with a 21-20 win over the Rebels thanks to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on wide receiver Elijah Moore, which backed up a potential game-tying extra point 15 yards. That kick was missed shortly thereafter. The Russian announcers who were calling this game completely lost it, as they, like us at home, couldn't believe Moore's lapse in judgement.

If you've made the notoriously stone-faced Russian announcers explode into laughter, you know you've made a huge mistake.
The Ole Miss-Mississippi State rivalry is without fail one of the most entertaining rivalry games in college football year in and year out. Because both teams are rarely in the tank or competing for a playoff spot, this game usually involves two teams pulling out all the stops in order to become bowl-eligible.
Unfortunately for the Rebels, Moore's ill-advised celebration made him an international pariah.

It's nice to see that traditional Egg Bowl lunacy crosses the geopolitical divide and is found equally stupid in Moscow as it is in Starkville.
