VIDEO: Penn State Gets Obvious Touchdown Overturned Upon Review
By Chris Russo

It might take a second before you realize it, but the ball is definitely in the end zone. Penn State scored a touchdown, which quite clearly appears to be a touchdown, only to have it overturned upon review in a rather questionable display.
This Penn State touchdown — ruled a touchdown on the field — was overturned after a replay. They said his knee was down at the one-foot line before the ball crossed the plane. pic.twitter.com/xGgf6Iye6c

Considering only part of the ball has to cross the white line, it's pretty clear and obvious that this should have been ruled a touchdown. However, officials said Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth had his knee down before the ball crossed into the goal line.
With the ball subsequently placed at the one-foot line, the Nittany Lions couldn't punch it in and Iowa held them to a field goal.
