Rejoice, Cowboys fans! All of the years of mediocre play-calling and coaching are finally over!

NFL insider Jay Glazer just uttered the words that you've been longing to hear for so long now: "The Dallas Cowboys have informed Jason Garrett he is out as head coach."

And it has since been confirmed by a number of other outlets.

There will be no more second chances, no more lobbying, and no more waiting. The Jason Garrett era in Dallas is officially over.

There was plenty of tension in the air following the conclusion of yet another fruitless regular season. Though it initially felt like a forgone conclusion that they'd let Garrett go, there was a brief moment where it actually seemed as though he'd get yet another chance to lead the team.

Fortunately for the fans, that's not the case. Now the team can finally move on and try to create a new, far more successful culture of winning in the locker room.
