VIDEO: Marlins Take 6-0 Lead Over Mets as Jorge Alfaro Rips Grand Slam for His 2nd Homer of the Game

As futile as the Miami Marlins have been this season, with a 54-101 record on the season, they're still finding ways to spoil their NL East rivals' playoff chances. This time, it's the New York Mets who are somehow falling to the Marlins on their home field. Just watch Jorge Alfaro mash a grand slam at Citi Field against Steven Matz to completely break open the Marlins-Mets game.

That's homer No. 2 for Alfaro on the evening, as he's inflicting a ton of damage to the Mets, all on his own.

Barring a wild Mets comeback, they'll fall back another game behind the Milwaukee Brewers for that coveted second NL Wild Card spot as their quest for postseason glory continues to crumble under pressure. Mets fans cannot be happy to see their postseason chances fade away against the Marlins, though. That's got to sting.
