VIDEO: Mark Stoops Aims NSFW Smack Talk at Virginia Tech After Kentucky Belk Bowl Win
By Scott Rogust

The Kentucky Wildcats football program has seen plenty of success recently under head coach Mark Stoops. Despite going 7-5 this season, Kentucky clinched a spot in the Belk Bowl, and on New Year's Eve defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies 37-30. After the victory, linebacker Jordan Wright took to Instagram Live to film the locker room speeches from his teammates and head coach. During said speech, Stoops used some harsh words towards Virginia Tech. Warning: there is very explicit language in this video.

In other, more cleaner words, Stoops wasn't taking anything from anybody.
There was some serious bad blood heading into the bowl game. Once Kentucky arrived to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday, Virginia Tech players hurled a variety of profanity-laced insults towards the Wildcats. And it didn't go unnoticed, especially to quarterback Lynn Bowden Jr.
The anger even translated to pregame warmups, as a skirmish resulted in Bowden punching a Virginia Tech player in the face.

All the trash-talk backfired for the Hokies and translated to motivation for Kentucky to earn the Belk Bowl win. If one lesson can be learned, it's to never anger a Mark Stoops-coached team.
