Marcus Mariota is considered one of the more fragile QBs in the league, and while the Titans want to get the former Oregon signal-caller playing time, this probably wasn't what they had in mind. Mariota got an early meeting with rookie DT Byron Cowart of the Patriots, and it didn't end well for the Titans QB.

The Titans just signed OL Rodger Saffold to a four-year extension this offseason, only to see him beaten by a rookie this early in the preseason. There's a word for that, and it's not ideal.
