VIDEO: Louisville's Michael McAvene Ridiculously Ejected vs Indiana for Mouthing off to Umpire
By Seth Carlson

Umpires are not the most popular figures on the baseball diamond, that's for sure. This was no less the case after Michael McAvene, the closer for the Louisville Cardinals' baseball team, mouthed "that's horrible" to the home plate umpire after a disagreement on a strike call. The pitcher, who merely showed some emotion, was punished for his words, receiving an ejection from the ump.

As MLB's new saying for the 2019 season goes, "Let the kids play!" Maybe this NCAA umpire should let these athletes do the same.
