VIDEO: Kentucky Women's Basketball Coach Dances to 'Old Town Road' at Big Blue Madness
By Chris Pyo

John Calipari isn't the only Kentucky Wildcats basketball coach who knows how to get a crowd going. At Kentucky's annual Big Blue Madness, where Kentucky fans received their first glimpses of the 2019-20 men's and women's basketball teams, women's head coach Matthew Mitchell really got Big Blue Nation going. Or riding, perhaps.

On a night where Kentucky fans were introduced to the Wildcats' new rosters, Mitchell's performance might've received the loudest cheers of all.
Hopefully, Kentucky fans will have something to cheer for come March Madness for both teams, but for now, this is a pretty solid start to the year.

It's an annual tradition for Mitchell to dance at Big Blue Madness, but he really outdid himself here. Lil Nas X, it's on you to write a new hit song that Mitchell can dance to next fall.
Mitchell has been the head coach of the women's team since 2007, and has gone 281-125 since then, adding two SEC Coach of the Year honors to his trophy room. However, he has yet to bring the team past the Elite Eight during his tenure, something he's definitely looking to change.
Other events on the program for Big Blue Madness included a brief team scrimmage, regular drills and a dunk-off, which freshman Kahlil Whitney won.

This really is going to be a special year for Kentucky basketball. Question is, can they live up to their expectations?
