VIDEO: Dodgers Pitcher Dustin May Drilled by Screaming Diamondbacks Comebacker in Scary Moment
By Jerry Trotta

Prepare yourselves, folks, because what you're about to witness is anything but pleasant. While Dustin May and the Los Angeles Dodgers were trying to neutralize a comeback by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fourth inning on Sunday, the young right-hander was struck in the head by a screaming comebacker. The 21-year-old rookie subsequently went down in a heap, grabbing his head in palpable pain. Again, the footage is extremely disturbing.

Ugh.
Fortunately enough, this potentially daunting narrative appears to have had a happy ending. May was reportedly able to sit up relatively quickly and was alert while being examined by the training and medical staff.
Up quickly and looking alert but shaken, thankfully

The Northwest High School product even tried to persuade the Dodgers to let him stay in the game, but LA wisely removed him and turned to their bullpen.
He obviously tried to talk to his way in bc he’s a G but taken out. All seems good after a very scary play.

We presume that May will undergo further tests, but it looks as though the worst has been avoided. Stay tuned for updates on his condition.
