Baseball fans are fully aware of how rare an occurrence an inside the park home run is. However, have you ever heard of a bunt homer? If you happened to be in attendance for Tuesday's Lakeland Flying Tigers-Jupiter Hammerheads game, you witnessed history. Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Reece Hampton bunted the ball towards the pitcher's mound and ended up scoring on the play after a series of horrible errors. The catcher attempted to throw the ball to first base, but it flew past him, and Hampton raced all the way home for the home run.

We know what you're thinking. "What on earth happened to the baseball?"

Hampton himself answered the question via Twitter, saying the catcher's throw went all the way to the right field corner.

While many will point to the error, credit must be given to Reece Hampton's speed to make it all the way to home plate...on a bunt.
