North Carolina came up JUST short of upsetting No. 1 Clemson in front of their home crowd at Kenan Memorial Stadium on Saturday, falling to the Tigers 21-20 in heartbreaking fashion. Had the Tar Heels drawn up a better two-point play in the closing minute of regulation with a chance to take the lead, this back-and-forth doozy might just have featured a different ending. If you watched the contest, Clemson was out-played in every facet of the game, and Dabo Swinney acknowledged that in a classy postgame message to Mack Brown as the two head coaches met at midfield.

This is exactly why Swinney is one of the most respected figures in all of college football. Seconds after escaping an upset bid, the 49-year-old coach muzzles his emotions and is humble enough to hand out credit where it's due.

And given his track record, we wouldn't expect anything less from the Clemson boss.
