VIDEO: North Carolina Blows Chance to Beat Clemson With Terrible 2-Point Play After Clutch TD Drive

Virtually no college football pundit across the nation beleived that Saturday's clash between the No. 1 Clemson Tigers and North Carolina Tar Heels would be THIS close down the stretch, but the neutral fan won't care for their predictions. Mack Brown's squad scored a touchdown with just over a minute remaining in regulation to bring the score to 21-20.

At home, the vet head coach opted to go for two and take the lead rather than give Dabo Swinney's offense a chance to win the game on their ensuing drive or in overtime. It's a strategy we can all get behind given their underdog status. But there was only one problem: the play call was straight up egregious.

Brown bizarrely drew up an RPO with quarterback Sam Howell and Clemson EASILY sniffed it out and stuffed the Tar Heels at the goal line.

The Tigers subsequently lined up in victory formation as UNC had no timeouts remaining, squeaking by the Tar Heel's upset efforts.
