VIDEO: Clip Emerges of LeBron James Putting Up Shots on Set of 'Space Jam 2'

The Tune Squad is back in business! This summer, LeBron James was curiously not playing NBA postseason basketball for the first time in 14 years. With that rare bit of free time, the Lakers mega-star decided to do what any one would have done in such a situation: start shooting the "Space Jam" sequel.

We don't have a ton of context for this footage, but there's every reason to believe that this long-discussed film project is legitimately getting made right now. No sign of Klay Thompson or Anthony Davis yet (and definitely not Swaggy P), but the summer is still young.

As of now, "Space Jam 2" is expected to have a July 2021 release. It's being directed by Terence Nance, creator of the eclectic HBO series "Random Acts of Flyness."
