VIDEO: Austin Meadows Drills Solo Shot to Straightaway Center Field to Open Scoring vs Yankees

The Rays have played catch-up all season with the Yankees, and Austin Meadows is doing his part to make that happen in New York. The Left fielder opened the scoring off CC Sabathia with a solo home run to straight away center field.

The shot was his 14th of the season, and gave the Rays a 1-0 lead early against the AL East leading Yankees.

The Rays sit five games back of the Yankees and could use a series win in New York to lessen the gap in the division.
