Cole Anthony Announces He'll Delay His NBA Draft Announcement Amid Coronavirus Crisis
By Adam Weinrib

Despite cross-league cancellations, there are still plenty of core events remaining on the sports calendar.
The NBA Draft and Draft Lottery remain on the books, and it's about that time for collegiate stars to begin to issue their declarations for the next level. But not UNC's Cole Anthony. He doesn't want to take even the tiniest bit of attention away from the task at hand.
Anthony put out a heartfelt update on social media Tuesday, assuring that he wouldn't announce his draft status until the city of New York, one he knows and loves, gets their rampant coronavirus crisis under a bit more control.

Despite an up-and-down season at best, Anthony is still overwhelmingly likely to declare for the 2020 NBA Draft; he's a lottery prospect, and most teams atop the list could use a scoring threat at point guard.
But out of the kindness of his heart, the son of Knicks standout Greg Anthony will not be preempting coverage of the global (and local) crisis to announce any personal news.
Impressed by that statement! Hope everybody is staying safe in New York. I just wish the season had gone better and you would have gotten the full Carolina experience and had been competing for the Final 4!

Stay safe, NYC. Soon, there'll be a lot more to compete for.
