Twins Place Star Slugger Eddie Rosario on 10-Day IL
By Ryan Flores

The Minnesota Twins have lost another key offensive player.
On Friday, the Twins placed star slugger Eddie Rosario on the 10-day injured list with a left ankle sprain. Utility player Ehire Adrianza was activated from the IL in a corresponding move.

Rosario exited Wednesday's game after spraining his ankle while rounding first base. The Twins were initially hopeful that Rosario would not need a stint on the injured list, but they're clearly playing it safe with their star outfielder.
Rocco Baldelli on Eddie Rosario: "His condition hasn't changed. I still believe we dodged a major issue but [it's] probably going to take more than one or two days to heal himself up. We had to make the decision maybe a hair earlier than we wanted to, but we had to just make it."

This is a tough blow for the Twins, as they've lost a player who has compiled a .282 batting average with 20 homers and 60 runs batted in. With Byron Buxton, Marwin Gonzalez and Willians Astudillo all on the IL, the Twins will now have to rely on Max Kepler, Jake Cave, and Luis Arraez in the outfield.
With the All-Star break around the corner, there's a chance that Rosario does not return until the second half of the season, even though he's eligible to return for Minnesota's final game before the break.
