VIDEO: Twins Release Bizarre 'Bomb Squad' All-Star Promo
By Michael Luciano

There are lots of creative ways for an MLB team to promote its best players and drum up votes to put them in the All-Star Game. There are also ways to completely screw that up in a manner that leaves the fans more confused than excited to vote for them. The Minnesota Twins chose the latter, as their "Bomba Squad" of Nelson Cruz, Jorge Polanco, Eddie Rosario, and CJ Cron met up with the Minneapolis Police Department's Bomb Squad.

Good job, Twins social media. You managed to combine four potential MLB All-Stars with guys who defuse bombs for a living and make the whole thing unbearably awkward.
If there's a silver lining to this poorly executed plan, it's that Cron signed a few baseballs for all the children of those bomb disposal technicians.
Just saw you guys out there. Thanks @CCron24 for signing a ball for my boy! ??

Despite having the best record in the AL Central, Rocco Baldelli's Twins might need to generate more fanfare online, as they lack the superstar gravitas to run away with an All-Star Game election. This, however, is the wrong way to do it.
At least some kids got a few signed baseballs out of the whole ordeal.
