The rumors continue to swirl surrounding Tom Brady's future in the NFL, and they've yet to provide a clear cut interpretation of where the 42-year-old signal caller will land in free agency.

Well, with a little over two weeks before the new league year begins on March 18, we have another update for you, and it's guaranteed to make fans in Foxborough smile.

It's been widely reported that the Las Vegas Raiders are one of the teams expected to heavily pursue Brady on the open market. However, Patriots insider Tom Curran is convinced that isn't the case.

Per Curran, John Gruden isn't necessarily thrilled with the prospect of the Raiders landing Brady, though he wouldn't spurn the six-time Super Bowl champion if his camp reached out. More importantly, however, Curran notes that Las Vegas isn't "planning to give great chase."

The thought of testing the open market certainly appeals to Brady, but the Patriots will meet with the three-time MVP at some point and attempt to convince him to sign an extension before he hits free agency.

Unless a true bombshell report drops in the next few weeks, you have to think that, at least at this rate, it would be foolish to consider anybody but the Patriots as the favorites to land Brady this offseason.
