This season, the Cleveland Browns have almost been as laughable as they were during their putrid stretch of seasons predating the Baker Mayfield days. For real.

The Browns retooled their offense with the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. this past offseason, and yet Freddie Kitchens still hasn't figured out how to use him alongside Jarvis Landry, wasting away two of the most talented wide receivers in the entire NFL.

For the season, OBJ has 34 receptions and only one touchdown, while Landry has 30 receptions and caught his first touchdown of the season today in the Browns' loss against the Denver Broncos. Those are some putrid numbers over the first nine weeks of the NFL season, especially considering how much these former LSU teammates produced with much worse quarterback play.

Much of the blame does indeed fall on Baker Mayfield, who after a revelatory rookie campaign has had a sophomore season to forget. For the season, he's thrown only six touchdowns to go along with 12 interceptions. With the amount of weapons he has, that lack of success is staggering.

This is all unacceptable. The Browns were considered to be sneaky Super Bowl contenders. Now, they might not even have a chance at sniffing the playoffs, which can definitely be attributed to the team's inability to get the ball to OBJ and Landry.

The clock is ticking for Freddie Kitchens.
